Slow-ing down

Firstly, thank you if you are still following me for my works even though this space is pretty much dead. Deviantart had always been the place for me for all my cosplay related works and all. Many people had migrated to facebook pages, blogs and etc, but this space had been with me for so long. Its kinda like my virtual portfolio.
As you might probably would have guess, i'm slowing down with my cosplay plans because i felt that i am slowly growing out of this hobby. Nope, i do love cosplaying, but in a sense, i feel tired to make plans for photoshoots and it becomes more of like an "assignment" rather than enjoyment for me.
Regardless, i probably can't stop-stop cause it holds so much memories for me, but yeah, i guess its time to tune down that frequency and concentrate on other stuffs, like my career.

AFA'13 and Cosplay Sales

Hey guys, been so long since i last updated. Not dead (yet)! Been thinking about slowing cosplay down due to other commitments and all, especially now that i have other financial obligations to think about - school fees etc.

Mini update + Cosfest Plans

Hello minna-san!
Been a while since i last updated, but its really because i have nothing to update about LOL. Counting back, the time difference between my last photoshoot and this previous photoshoot that i just had last saturday, it was a good 9 months. I felt like i was pregnant and just gave birth to my first "child" after carrying it for 9 months 
In any case, i would be upp-ing the pictures soon so that my dA wouldn't be as empty and dead as it is now.

Day 1 was supposedly to be Saint Seiya's Pandora with as Hades but we don't really have the time for props so we are thinking of shifting it to the Year end events.

In any case, Maggie, a HK coser friend whom i met would be coming for cosfest this time round as well, and im really excited for her since it would be her first time attending a SG cosplay event!
On a side note, i have a feeling that i would be clashing with people for both days, so despite feeling stress because of the obligatory comparison, i hope it would still end up as a fun event, and not a comparing event.
In any case, im loooking forward to cosfest!

Cosplay Sales!

Hello guys!
Recently i have not been cosplaying much and has been rather inactive in the scene. I guess the 6months hiatus really got to me. It had took me some time to settle down after being back from Beijing, and the weather back here is seriously insanity. Not only this, there are more obligations and responsibilities (personal life & career & school) so all these were part of the factors that deterred me from going back at being active in cosplaying.
It came as a big surprise to me because before the internship, my only aim at going over to China was to attend all the conventions, meet new people, and also to have shoots there. Turns out that not only did i not cosplay at all during the entire time, i did not even met up with people i have talked to (except for one who sold me the iphone i am using now), and actually having this guy whom i talked to for a while and i figured could be a rather nice person asking me for nude photoshoots. Not saying that nude photoshoots are taboo or anything because its an art as well when viewed appropriately, but the way the guy branched the topic was just, creepy.
In any case, i'm back now and having a couple of plans up. I have not planned for any photoshoots even though i have a few costumes awaiting for shoots. I figured i would use this month to have a rest and officially starts organizing shoots for some of the costumes i have back in my closet during March. Also, i have just submitted my application for university so fingers crossed everything would go smoothly!
Just a small note before i leave - Thank you for the 10,000 over views on my profile. I have no idea why the numbers went up even though i have been so lazy in updating my profile with journals and pictures, but i really appreciates it from whoever visiting this rotting page. Just a small thank you for all my followers as well, and the faves i have gotten over the period i am on dA. Thank you so much. Really.
Now that i am back and SG expenses are actually higher than Beijing, i am clearing my wardrobe to make space for new costumes coming along my way! I have put up a sales album here. Right now i am only selling to Singapore addresses, but if anyone residing outside of SG is interested, i dont mind shipping it overseas as well Just leave me a note here on dA for non-friends on facebook because i am afraid i would miss out your fb message. Thank you!

Summing up 2012 with an entry

Haha, sorry that this have to come so late. Work was busy, and keeping up with my own personal life is taking a toll outta me mentally as well. Anyway, i still feel it to be a mandatory thing to write how i feel about 2012 as an individual in the cosplay community.
2012 was my 4th year since i started joining cosplay, and my 2nd year since i returned back to the scene again. The hiatus was due to 'O' level and the transfer from a JC to NP, which was quite a tough moment for me since i was having emotional breakdowns every day. I'm glad those days are over already for now!
Got to know so much more friends in 2012, but at the same time getting to know more about the complicated side in the cosplay community as well. I was really, really sad when i got to know that recently, a friend whom i really love and care for has been god knows what saying behind my back to others. It took me a while to get over it, even though it still bothers me till this date. I guess i really cant do anything about it, since i still consider this individual as a friend whom i want to keep. Its just that this came upon me as something so unexpected and surprising. But then again, someone who is misled and judges even before he/she knows someone.. LOL, i don't really need to have a good image in their opinion as well.
However, there are still many things which i'm very thankful for in year 2012, and that includes meeting and knowing all the new friends, as well as reconnecting with my old friends. Thank you to everyone for making my cosplay journey such a wonderful in year 2012! Really, you guys are the ones which is keeping me to this expensive community other than the passion and love.
